Why it exists

Every monthly close should bring the financial picture into focus.

Bring historical results, the next forecast, and performance against plan into one repeatable monthly process.

01

Manual models demand attention

Spreadsheet forecasts require repeated imports, formula checks, assumption updates, and formatting every month.

02

Forecasts quickly become outdated.

When updates take too long, teams keep using assumptions that no longer reflect the business.

03

Large systems add complexity

Many smaller organizations need disciplined forecasting without a lengthy implementation or enterprise software footprint.

Created by a CFO. Refined through operations.

I'm Jim Simpson, and I built ForecastBridge for the way finance teams actually work.

Founder • Former CFO & COO • 25+ Years Leading Finance & Operations

After more than 25 years leading finance and operations for growing companies, I noticed the same pattern every month. The close would finish, and then someone had to rebuild the operating forecast from the latest GL actuals.

The work wasn't creating better decisions—it was recreating spreadsheets, updating assumptions, checking formulas, and making sure nothing broke.

I built ForecastBridge to change that.

Instead of starting over every month, ForecastBridge preserves prior work, carries assumptions forward, updates only what changed, and generates a transparent, CFO-ready Excel workbook your team can review, edit, and share with confidence.

Because forecasting should help you think about the business—not spend another day rebuilding the model.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers for the monthly financial workflow

Who is ForecastBridge for?+

Fractional CFOs, controllers, finance consultants, and growing companies without a dedicated FP&A function. Consultants can use a consistent workflow across clients while keeping each company's data, mappings, assumptions, and forecasts separate.

What data does ForecastBridge use?+

A complete monthly account summary from your accounting system, with P&L accounts reported as monthly activity and Balance Sheet accounts as month-end balances. You can also upload a Budget to compare performance with plan.

Does ForecastBridge replace accounting software or Excel?+

No. Your accounting system remains the source of your accounting records. ForecastBridge organizes mapped monthly data for historical reporting, forecasting, and plan comparisons, then produces a CFO-ready Excel workbook for review, analysis, and sharing.

How are mappings reused?+

ForecastBridge remembers reviewed financial mappings for recurring monthly uploads. Review new or changed accounts and use Planning Categories to organize COGS and Operating OpEx for management reporting.

What does the CFO Brief do?+

CFO Brief uses AI to explain validated ForecastBridge results, including performance, outlook, cash, historical context, and Items to Review. ForecastBridge calculates. AI explains. AI does not control financial calculations or mappings.

Is ForecastBridge generally available?+

ForecastBridge is in active development and limited testing, and is not broadly open for self-service signup. If you would like to discuss testing it, connect using the contact email on this page.
